How Many Kybella Treatments Would I Need?
As every patient is different in how their neck area stores fat, the total number of treatments needed to achieve the desired aesthetic will vary from person to person. Your final aesthetic goal will determine the number of treatments suggested; you can only have a maximum of six Kybella injections under your chin. For reference, 59% of participants in the FDA Kybella studies underwent all six injections before their goals were reached. Each injection is typically spaced one month apart.
Recovering from a Kybella Injection
With little discomfort during the injection, the most common after-effects are minor swelling, bruising, and slight numbness around the injection site. Although quite rare, this FDA-approved fat loss treatment may cause an adverse reaction. Reach out to QnA if you develop any issues with your smile, have a hard time swallowing, tingling across the face, develop ulcers, or have other skin problems after receiving your injection.
