Scarlet SRF

Before undergoing Scarlet SRF, patients typically have a consultation with one of our QnA Cosmetic Surgery providers to assess their skin concerns and determine if the procedure is right for them. Prior to the procedure, it's recommended to avoid sun exposure, harsh skincare products, and certain medications that may cause sensitivity. It is also important to note that Scarlet SRF should not follow most cosmetic injections or procedures for at least 10-14 days or if the provider has cleared the patient for treatment. 

After the treatment, most patients experience minimal discomfort and can return to daily activities the same day. No significant downtime is expected, but you may experience some redness and mild swelling immediately after treatment as well as a day or two following the procedure. Some patients may also experience skin dryness and possible flaking for up to a week post treatment. Mild redness or swelling may occur but typically subsides within a few hours to a day. It is also important to note that patients should avoid harsh exfoliants or retinoids for at least 3-5 days after treatment unless instructed otherwise by the provider. Over the following months, collagen and elastin production increases, leading to gradual and natural-looking improvements. Full Scarlet SRF results are usually visible after about three to six months following the procedure, but optimal results often occur after a series of treatments spaced 4-8 weeks apart.
