Microneedling

Microneedling is one of the most effective ways to rejuvenate your skin without surgery. It uses a series of ultra-fine needles to stimulate collagen production, leading to smoother, firmer, and more radiant skin. What Happens Before Microneedling

Before your microneedling treatment, you may be advised to stop using retinoids, exfoliants, or certain skincare products for about 3-5 days leading up to your appointment. Staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged sun exposure will help your skin respond better to treatment and enhance your final results. On the day of your treatment, your skin is carefully cleansed and assessed to ensure it is in the best condition for the procedure. A topical numbing cream is then applied to minimize any discomfort during the process.


The Microneedling Process Explained


During the treatment, a specialized device equipped with fine needles is gently moved across your skin. The controlled micro-injuries trigger your body’s natural healing process, encouraging new collagen and elastin production. This leads to a smoother, more even-toned surface and a more youthful appearance over time.

Aftercare and Recovery

Immediately following microneedling, your skin may appear red or feel warm, similar to a mild sunburn. This is completely normal and usually fades within a day or two. You’ll be given an Avene Post Care Kit to use for about a week following the treatment. Within the next few days, the skin may begin to dry and flake for about 5-7 days post treatment. Once the dead skin has sloughed off, you should be left with radiant, healthier skin. 

Visible Results and Long-Term Benefits

The improvement after microneedling becomes noticeable within about 3-6 treatments, as new collagen forms and skin texture refines. After a series of microneedling is complete, it is recommended to receive maintenance treatments every 3-6 months.
