Hair Restoration
PRP can be a great choice for patients who have already maximized other medical therapies. We recommend dermatology consultation for medical management prior to consideration of PRP. PRP treatments offer non-surgical and minimally invasive, which can be an attractive option for individuals who want to avoid surgery.
PRP therapy is most effective in addressing genetic hair loss, specifically Androgenic Alopecia (AGA), which encompasses male-pattern hair loss (MPHL) and female-pattern hair loss (FPHL). However, it can also be applied to a range of other hair loss and hair thinning conditions, including Alopecia Areata, Telogen Effluvium, and various forms of both scarring and non-scarring alopecia.
Our treatment recommendations are personalized to each patient, but as a general guideline, we typically suggest an initial monthly treatment cycle comprising three sessions, followed by maintenance treatments every 3-6 months.
There are minimal side effects other than temporary swelling or bruising at the injection site.
